Bachmann Displays of the 900 series

With the 900 series of displays Bachmann is the first manufacturer to succeed in delivering a marketable solution for remote, industry-capable terminals with integrated USB and CAN interfaces. These terminals combine the advantages of computerless displays with the full interface functionality of central processing units.
Wide circulation, standardisation and driver availability for all common operating systems has made USB the interface of Bachmann´s choice. „The protocol tolerances of USB are however very tight and require a high signal quality for the transmission“, Martin Greif, manager of the IPC development at Bachmann, outlines the challenge of the technical solution.
“The Bachmann 900 Series display’s are the only systems in the industry, which permit a fault-safe, electromagnetic compliant remote positioning terminals with standard HDMI copper cable at distances of up to 100m. With an intelligent transmission system we have succeeded in combining USB and CAN interfaces on the remote terminal thus opening up the broadest range of peripheral components for use on and in display units today“, Greif continues.
The integrated CAN interface permits the connection of operating elements to the display, for example machine keys, to the control hardware in a plug and play manner without additional wiring.
The terminals of the 900 series are marked by their extremely flat design. They support screen resolutions up to SXGA (1280 x 1024 px) and can contain displays up to 19“ screen width. It goes without saying that the front-panels are customisable.
