MTABooster® - Arrayer put an engine in your Tissue Arrayer
The MTABooster® is a motorized Tissue Arrayer that automates the X and Y moves and is controlled through the TMA Designer Software .The designed outline of a tissue array is downloaded from your PC to the attached control box using a unique memory stick.
It's an elegant and reliable solution for the automation of the puncher moves, ensuring excellent precision, robustness and accuracy over time as well as comfort of use with a large screen and sealed keypad.
During manual construction of tissue arrays, it may be required to rotate the micrometers up to 2000 times. For a 500-core tissue array just to tune the micrometers to the point will take approximately 3 hours !
In order to be quick to achieve an optimal precise position, the rotation of the micrometers must be fast at the beginning and then slower when the position of interest has been reached.
MTABooster® automates the X and Y moves. You obtain the next position simply by a push on the convenient and easy to use controller keypad that holds all positions of your tissue array in memory.
MTABooster® ensures an accurate positioning of the punchers within one micrometer ... automatically ... you can rely on it.
With the MTABooster®, you can now take full advantage of the size of your recipient blocks. You are not limited by the range of your micrometers any more, which allow you to reach only 2/3rd of your recipient block. The MTABooster® gives you the freedom to build tissue arrays as large as 36 mm x 36 mm.
The MTABooster® includes a bright LED screen that displays in real time all the information you need without being obliged to read your Excel table : grid and spot position, X & Y positions, donor block number, recipient block number. No more pain at the back or at the neck, MTABooster® makes the construction of tissue arrays far more comfortable.
You can also indicate by the push of a button if a core was not successfully positioned. This will be saved on the memory stick and loaded back to the host computer.
With the MTABooster®, you can relax and concentrate to extract the sample from the donor block and transfer the core into the recipient block, MTABooster® does the rest for you.
MTABooster® also relieves you from the problems of manual micrometers drifting with time and use. The micrometers are replaced by accurate, robust and auto-controlled precision stepper motors that will guarantee precise positioning year after year.
