The new modular person and material locks with active cleaning in explosion-proof design

The demand for active cleaning locks for persons and material is increasing continuously. On the basis of the long experiences with the cleaning procedures at person- and material locks as well as basing on the long experiences in the industrial area, Weiss GWE developed these highly efficient active cleaning locks.

The slowly rotating high-performance nozzle rotors which achieve the optimum cleaning result play the decisive role at this system.
The person or the material is standing in the center under the air nozzle rotor and is cleaned consequently from all sides as well as from above and from the bottom. If the nozzle rotor touches the person or the material, it stops by means of the compressive force limiter.

The active cleaning is made with 450 fold air change by means of high-performance compressor and coordinated cleaning air nozzles.
The cycle of the active cleaning is adjustable, approx. 20 seconds.
At the following recovery operation of approx. 30 seconds, the air volume is filtered by H14 and increased to more than 1.500 m3/h.
Afterwards, the lock is free from floating particles and has reached the air quality to the clean side. Operation with circulating air as well as operation with partial or full fresh air are possible.

The highly efficient cleaning on all surfaces is guaranteed by the optimized combination of small nozzle offsets. The air flows are directed to the bottom, removed particles are led off directly into the lower extraction area.
The active lock can be used for cleaning and as a lock for passing through.

Standard operation is made with negative pressure, i.e., as sink, to ensure that no air is flowing from the inside to the outside on opening of the doors, but the adjacent air is drawn into the lock. On request, the door arrangements can be realized designed as passage or in corner design.

Program flow, malfunction monitoring and locking mechanism of the lock are controlled by an integrated central processor. The operation is made by means of a foil keyboard. Emergency switches inside and outside the active lock interrupt the program and unlock the doors.
The bottom of the locks consists of a smooth stainless steel surface which can also be designed as tub. As an alternative, the lock can be delivered without bottom.
Filter and technology unit can be assembled as independent unit above or separately.

A pre-filter F8 is installed in the rear wall. The rear wall has to be opened from the interior. The complete lock can easily be cleaned and, if requested, disinfected as well.
Explosion-proof versions are also available. The control is placed in the explosion-free area or in a compression-proof casing.
The locks are manufactured in a manner to meet the demands of the GMP/FDA guidelines.
