Battery-powered LEGIC® lock from GANTNER

As one of the most important suppliers of access control and clearing systems for fitness studios, pools and leisure facilities, GANTNER has introduced a battery-powered LEGIC lock to the market, making GANTNER the only manufacturer to offer both battery and wired locking mechanisms for lockers.

The battery-powered locks are easily fitted and are suitable for all locker types and are particularly suitable for upgrading electronic locking systems in existing locker rooms. Depending on the configuration of the lock, it is possible to use up to two freely selectable lockers and one personal locker with the same LEGIC data carrier. Up to four cards can be assigned to a personal locker, making it possible for family members to use the same locker. With 15,000 operations, the life expectancy of the battery is exceptionally high. Apart from colour markings for the optical recognition of an open or a closed locker there is also a diode that can shine in different colours. The last 50 operations will be memorised in the lock.

As with the wired locks, the battery-powered locks also offer simple operation via data carriers (card, bracelet, watch, etc.), maintenance and wear resistance (ex-cept for battery changes) as well as temperature and water resistance. Mixed systems consisting of wired and battery-powered locks are possible as well.

Amongst GANTNER's clients for multifunctional access systems are the leading fitness chains Fitness First, Elixia, Holmes Place, Fitness Company and Fitness Holding.
