Confocal Imager

The BD CARV II Confocal Imager from BD Biosciences delivers high resolution CCD confocal imaging in an easy to use and cost effective optical package that can be attached to new or existing microscopes. High-speed multi-pinhole confocal scanning, combined with high quantum efficiency CCD cameras, allows recording of images at up to 100 frames per second. Instead of lasers, the confocal imager uses a long life arc source which allows for full-spectrum (360nm ? 700nm) confocal imaging. Automated filter selection in an easy to change filter assembly allows the use of virtually any fluorescent probe on the market. The imager also offers automation of fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP).
