High Precision Mass Flow Measurement

Höntzsch has developed new thermal sensors for standard and mass flow measurement in gases, such as air, natural gas, nitrogen, hydrogen, argon, as well as aggressive gases. The smallest possible measurement uncertainty can only be achieved with sensors calibrated in real gases. TA sensors are calibrated with the manufacturer's volume flow test rigs. The accuracy of the references used is traceable to PTB [German national metrology institute] national standards. Real gas calibrated sensors achieve a measurement uncertainty of less than 1% of the measurement value and are therefore 100% to 150% better than specified in the datasheets. These sensors cover both very low and high flow speeds 0.08m/s to 200 m/s. The sensors are also available as Ex versions for categories 1 and 2 (zone 0 and 1).
