The Optris CT line:

A choice of various infrared lenses in combination with digital and analog interfaces for the data processing supports the use of the optris CT miniaturized infrared temperature sensors in manifold applications for temperature ranges between -40°C and 900°C.

Even fast moving objects, like hot wheel bearings of moving trains as well as objects in free fall, which appear for only 4 Milliseconds in the measuring field of the sensor, can now be monitored regarding overheating or strong temperature differences between -40°C and 600°C.

Optical resolutions of 20:1, 15:1, 10:1 or 2:1, additionally provided with a close focus lens are able to measure objects as small as 600 x 600 µm. The CT sensing heads with a resolution of 15:1 and 20:1 are rugged and usable in ambient operating temperatures of up to 180°C without any cooling. Digital interfaces – USB, RS232 or RS485 (optional) – support remote control from a computer.

Furthermore, up to 32 CTs can be arranged in a line or as a field. This infrared multiple sensor array including a data processing software – the so called CTmatrix - is a low-cost alternative for the use of line scanners and thermo cameras in automation solutions.
