New Pressure Transmitter 261 for the Food & Beverages and Pharmaceutical Industries

The transmitter's full stainless steel IP67 housing allows water-cleaning in place during operation. All process connections comply with the usual industrial standards, are EHEDG-certified, and use FDA-approved materials and fill fluids.

The maintenance-free sensor system known from the 2600T series is field-proven in a variety of applications. During the development phase an independent expert already investigated the reliability and the diagnostic functions of the electronics and the sensor system and approved the device's compliance with SIL2. Additionally, type 261 pressure transmitters are certified to comply with ATEX Ex ia and with the Pressure Equipment Directive and thus meet the special requirements of the chemical industry.

The new high-contrast graphics display provides clear indication of all process variables and intuitive user guidance. You can set all parameters individually, and correct / configure the device's zero and span without applying pressure to it. But there is an even more comfortable way to operate the type 261 pressure transmitter. Its PC or system-based user interface supported by the DTM (Device Type Manager) can be run on either a stand-alone system or directly on the process control system using the FDT technology. Standard communication with the transmitter is realized via the HART protocol.

Features of the pressure transmitter 261:
  • Robust and versatile through compact stainless steel housing .
  • Maintenance-free due to reliable, well-proven sensor technology.
  • Easy to operate via the graphics display.
  • CIP/SIP capabilities resulting from high temperature resistance.
