Reliable explosion protection

EEx p – a pressuring system is one of the most flexible forms of Ex protection for many applications. This type of ignition protection makes it possible to operate non-Ex-capable devices in hazardous areas of Zone 1 and Zone 2. The basic principle at work is preventing a potentially explosive atmosphere from penetrating by maintaining a constant excess pressure in an enclosed protective housing.

The need is increasing in modern chemical facilities for complex, electrical equipment in areas where flammable substances are processed. As a result, ever higher requirements are placed on the explosion protection of electrical devices. The ignition protection class EEx p pressurising offers a wide range of possible applications.

The device series 3000 and 4000 of Pepperl+Fuchs meets the ATEX requirements of Standards EN 50014 and EN 50016 for Ex Zones 1 and 2.

The devices consist of a control unit, a valve and additional accessories.
The 3000 and 4000 component series of Pepperl+Fuchs Bebco EPS offers a solution for control and automation of devices, machines, robots and systems Zones 1 and 2.
Main applications include on-site terminals, control consoles, control cabinets, electrical motors, analysis instruments, monitors and optical systems that need to be installed in Ex areas.
