A Revolutionary Concept for NIV

Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) is becoming increasingly important with regard to the most diverse respiratory disorders. Up to now, mainly ventilation masks have been used with CPAP and mechanical ventilation.

The new patented 4Vent ventilation helmet by Rüsch introduces completely new aspects in the field of non-invasive ventilation therapy. The 4Vent helmet is very light and, in contrast to previous mask technology, extremely comfortable to wear. It can be positioned in next to no time, rendering lengthy adjustment procedures a matter of the past. Also, the mask can no longer be displaced. The patient's field of vision remains unrestricted. He can even talk and take in liquid food and drink during therapy. The helmet furthermore enables the patient to move around freely as far as the length of the tubing allows. There is no more risk of pressure points in the facial region, even under long-term use. The different connectors on both sides of the helmet enable versatile connection of ventilators, PEEP valves or other accessories. The 4Vent helmet is available in various sizes (collar sizes) and in different versions and set combinations. It can be used together with all customary CPAP and ventilation equipment. Recent results prove that either CPAP or NIV-treatments can be conducted with all commonly used ventilators in the market. Especially when they provide a "NIV-mode."
