FRAP in Wide-field Fluorescent Microscopy

3i's Fluorescence Recovery after Photobleaching (FRAP) system offers for the first time the ability to do high-speed computer controlled FRAP experiments on a wide-field microscope. The system allows the experimenter to define freeform FRAP, photo-ablation or photo-uncaging regions. Once the regions are defined, the experimenter can perform the photobleaching at the touch of a button mid-experiment. The laser system can be retrofitted onto most fluorescence microscopes. It consists of a tuneable dye laser, computer controlled positioning optics, laser power control and SlideBook software.
