Hybrid iGuard® DVR-kit brakes barriers

IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH is launching its new version of the successful iGuard PC-kit recorder solution. The 2.57 version with a maximum of 64 supported cameras breaks through the previous barrier of 32 cameras significantly. Thanks to the hardware platform, a new development from IDS, iGuard now allows recordings of up to 400 frames per sec. Along with the analogue cameras, the system also supports up to 16 network cameras – cable connected or wireless – from different manufacturers. The possibility of having iGuard-generated systems certified by Accident Prevention Funds is also new. The requirements for this are fulfilled by the 2.57 version. An intelligent camera swivel protector is also implemented.

The modular design of iGuard allows a customisation of the product from mobile single camera installation to complex networks with several servers. A remote client which also enables complete configuration and control of pan/tilt cameras and a web interface are included in the product package. An interface for connection of external software, e.g. for integration of iGuard in facility management systems, is also available as free option and further expands the area of application. Clients and interface enable the installer to customise video surveillance explicitly to meet customer requirements. iGuard also provides for later migration from a purely analogue or IP solution to a hybrid system.
