RTE6700 Multiple Function Document Reader

A compact device for capturing data from a wide range of magnetic and optical travel documents including data on passports, visas and ID cards, ATB coupons, credit cards and frequent flyer cards. It has an Optical Character Recognition reader and a four track magnetic Swipe reader along with an optional auxiliary serial port and smart card reader / writer. The identification of fraudulent or stolen airline tickets is becoming an increasingly important issue and, using its Dual Illumination technology, the RTE6700 is able to accurately extract OCR and bar code data from ATB, TAT and OPTAT tickets for revenue accounting and checking against stolen ticket databases. The reader is field programmable and provides output in either RS-232 or keyboard wedge formats and is available for connection to all common use terminal equipment (CUTE) platforms.
