Absolute Rotary Encoders

Because they can assign a precise and unambiguous position value to every linear or angular position at any time, absolute rotary encoders have become one of the most important elements linking mechanical and control systems. One of the pioneers in this sector, FRABA developed one of the first absolute rotary encoders in 1973.
The sensor platform Optocode provides a total measuring range of 30 Bit. All sensors are available as Singleturn or Multiturn with full shaft or blind hollow shaft respectively. Important electronic interfaces such as Profibus, CANopen, DeviceNet, SSI or Industrial Ethernet are fully integrated.
