Ultra-Compact Semiconductor Laser

Thanks to its collaboration with Picarro, BFi Optilas could announce its first shipment of the Cyan lasers in Europe. The Cyan laser is a compact CW laser source emitting at 488 nm. It comprises an external cavity laser assembly with a high-power semiconductor gain chip and an extra-cavity second-harmonic-generation crystal. Measuring 70x125x34 mm, it delivers high reliability, power stability and optical performance, making it suitable for both industrial and research applications. The output is TEM00 and it is an ideal replacement for old air-cooled argon lasers. Two versions are offered with output power of 10 and 20 mWatts. These modules are ideal for applications such as biomedical instrumentation, microscopy and genomic, reprographics, wafer inspection, fluorescence and high-resolution printing.
