MorphoSys, known for more than ten years for its recombinant antibody phage display technology, is now offering a reagent service under the label "Antibodies by Design". Researchers can now get custom-designed recombinant monoclonal antibodies just 8-10 weeks after submission of their antigen, for $ 5-10,000 each. More than 10 billion antibody specificities from our new HuCAL Gold® library are waiting in our laboratories, ready to be screened against submitted antigens.
In addition to speed, this new service offers researchers a number of unique advantages. Since there are no animals used, ELISA-positive antibodies can be easily generated from as little as 0.5 mg of antigen. The antibodies are available in a choice of formats, monovalent Fab fragments and bivalent mini-antibodies tagged with 6xHis, Strep®, Myc, and Flag® protein tags and access to antibody sequences allows for affinity optimization and other genetic engineering.
