Whereas two sensors with two diverse technologies were previously required for safe position detection, this is much easier with the world's first Safety Barcode Positioning System FBPS 600i: Now only one certified device with the highest performance level PL e is connected to a safe evaluation unit - e.g. a frequency inverter - via two SSI interfaces.

This makes it extremely easy to implement safety functions and reduces the effort required for installation and service. The devices show their strengths particularly in the fast movements of stacker cranes: the very short error reaction time of only 10 ms allows speed curves and handling performance to be optimized.
