Bernstein: Hinge Switch - Hinge Switch with integrated AS-i Safety at Work

Type 2 doors are often secured by a simple safety switch. The disadvantages of these are that there is danger of injury from the separate rod and also that the door must be perfectly aligned so that the rod meets the opening in the switch.

These problems are eliminated by using a hinge switch. As the secure switch contacts are integrated into the hinge, the actual safety switch ca be dispensed with. The hinge switch has an AS-i Safety at Work bus interface for quick and easy integration into AS-i systems.

The hinge is also protected to IP69K – the stainless steel version can also withstand intensive cleaning.
