High-performance 2-U industrial PC with an Intel Core processor 4th generation

With the 2-U 96I2380-MBQ87 computer, DSM Computer presented at the SPS IPC Drives in Hall 7, Booth 150, its first 19-inch system based on the highest-performance 4th generation Intel Core processors i7, i5, i3. In addition to the processor, the Intel Q87 chipset is integrated on the industrial Micro-ATX board. As result, the robust industrial computer from the Infinity family rises into a new performance class with regard to computing, graphic and video power.

For system expansions, the 19-inch system provides four slots: 1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16, 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 (four lanes), 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x8 (one lane) and 1 x PCI (32-bit, 33 MHz). In addition to four USB 3.0 (two at the rear and two internal) and eight USB 2.0 (two at the front and six at the rear) ports, an internal USB 2.0 stick socket is present. Furthermore, the computer is equipped with two Gigabit LAN connections, 1 x COM (RS232), 2 x PS/2, audio, SATA for six SATA III 600 drives (with support for RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5) and a socket for mSATA III. In addition to an external DVI-I interface, two DisplayPort 1.2 interfaces are provided for the connection of modern displays.

The slim IPC provides a 5.25 inch slimline bay and two 3.5 inch bays installed at the front. A removable frame allows as many as four 2.5 inch hard disks to be installed in the two 3.5 inch bays. A 1000 GB 3.5 inch SATA II 600 hard disk (or larger) is integrated in the housing. A DVD-RW drive (slimline), a 2.5 inch SSD or an mSATA III SSD can be installed as option.

The robust 96I2380-MBQ87 industrial computer with an installation depth of only 380 mm is designed for installation in 19 inch cabinets or can be used as stand-alone device. An easily-changed air filter for dust protection in harsh industrial environments is mounted on the front side of the functional, grey industrial housing. The operating elements and the drives are located protected behind an anthracite-colored metal flap.

As standard, the industrial computer is delivered with a 600 W power pack (115 - 230 VAC) 80 PLUS; a redundant AC or DC power pack (12, 24, 48 VDC) is also available on request. The operating temperature range lies between 0° and 45° C, but depending on the configuration, a temperature as high as 50° C can also be tolerated. Two 8-cm fans at the front provide the system cooling.

The 19-inch computer with an extremely high computing and graphical power is ideal for complex tasks in automation engineering, plant control, control rooms, energy industry, instrumentation and image processing.
