LED compact light sources: Flexible, reliable and efficient

The LED compact light sources from Leistungselektronik JENA GmbH set new standards in the field of scientific instrument construction.

With its LH-LED 100 series, Leistungselektronik JENA GmbH extends its range of compact cold light sources for scientific and industrial applications.
The light sources‘ high illuminance and their neutral/white light make them a modern alternative in many applications to conventional lighting systems. The light does not emit any heat radiation, can be collimated, is very homogenous and low in noise. It can therefore be directly integrated into equipment and appliances, such as microscopes, or, with a customized optical head attached, fully illuminate an area of, say, 0.5 m² with 2 000 lux.

A wide range of the light output can be set by pressing easily accessibly buttons, from a stand-alone control panel or via standard interfaces (such as USB, CAN-Bus). Unlike with halogen light sources, the color temperature won’t change when the light is dimmed.

The long service life and efficiency of the LED and the electronic control that is integrated in the lamp housing as well as the passive fanless thermal management will ensure up to 80 % savings in operating costs and maintenance-free operations.
The purely electronic shutter or flash function with a maximum of 26 kHz will open up new fields of application, e.g. in image processing and microscopy. Trigger input or output is available to the user.

The LH-LED 100 can also be supplied as monochromatic or UV light source with a high illuminance.
