Metal Analyzer

Spectro has introduced the third generation of its Spectromaxx stationary metal analyzer. The manufacturer has improved the operation of the instrument with toolbar buttons, a user management system, and by separating operation and programming of the instrument.

The analyzer is mainly used for material testing in foundries and for incoming and outgoing inspections in the metal industry. Users can determine all elements used in the metal industry – this includes trace analysis of carbon, phosphorous, sulfur and nitrogen. Calibration modules are available for base metals: iron, aluminum, copper, nickel, cobalt, titanium, magnesium, zinc, tin and lead.

Instead of a menu procedure, symbols and toolbar buttons lead through the measurement. Once a procedure has been started, only the functions making sense at every particular stage are active in the control software. The metal analyzer also offers a user management system that permits rights for individual employees to be determined.
