An efficient combination: MP signal light with buzzer function

Patlite will offer an optional signal horn for installation in its slim MP series signal lights, to supplement the MP’s red LED lamp.

The MP-compatible buzzer unit consists of a main unit with a signal horn and a special mounting unit, the buzzer bracket. The bracket is mounted on the topmost LED unit using the central screw of the MP signal light. The signal horn simply snaps into this bracket. A screw on the bottom of the buzzer’s main unit adjusts the volume. The maximum sound level of 80dB (at 1 m) is set at the factory.

The optional buzzer enhances the warning function of the very slim MP signal towers, which have a diameter of only 30 millimetres and a height of 220 millimetres. Up to five light modules in the colours White, Yellow, Green and Blue can be stacked on the sil-ver-coloured light fixtures. Strict colour-coded wiring of the single LED modules facili-tates connection of the unit. “The colour of the wire always matches the colour of the module. This makes it easy to change the order or number of the modules at a later time – without rewiring,” Udo Will, Managing Director of PATLITE’s European head office, explains.

The elegant signal lights have an unusually high luminous intensity, due to high-power LEDs and a special patented prism cut. The MP lights can be mounted directly on a flat surface with only one hole. They are compatible with NPN or PNP transistors with open collectors and feature protection class IP 65. PATLITE also offers the MP signal lights with an optional M12 plug, and for other applications as type MPS with a short housing of only 45 millimetres.
