HEWI washbasins

The minimalist use of form of the washbasins fits perfectly into the design of the existing HEWI sanitary systems. The wheelchair accessible washbasins provide safety, comfort and convenience in the bathroom. Integrated support and stabilisation options make it easier for users to pull up to the washbasin. The recessed handles can also be used as towel rails. Both models – with oval or round basin - provide generous shelf areas for all the necessary bathroom accessories.

The functionality convinced the members of the universal design award jury. The universal design award is given to outstanding products, concepts, designs and services, which are forward-looking. The washbasins received the much sought after prize for their usability, as they are flexibly, easily and intuitively usable.

Both washbasins also received the iF product design award 2011. With this prize, HEWI has once again proven its design competence. The award acknowledges outstanding design performance – both in respect to style and function, choice of materials and degree of innovation.
