FastSAC – automated spherical aberration correction for SDC and widefield fluorescence microscopy

Optimal 3D imaging through spherical aberration correction with FastSAC

Intelligent Imaging Innovations (3i) produces turnkey microscopy solutions designed for rapid imaging in multiple dimensions. 3i’s systems have been specifically engineered to produce the highest quality results with the fastest possible speeds in the industry. To achieve best quality images in 3D (SDC or widefield with deconvolution) especially when imaging deep into samples 3i offers a unique solution: the new FastSAC system. The FastSAC system corrects for spherical aberration for all of your objectives at all z-planes. Its “rolling SAC” function, which adjusts the optics while taking a z-stack of images, enables high speed corrected 3D imaging even when using high-NA oil objectives deep into an aqueous sample (>50µm). Even deeper imaging is possible with water objectives. The apparent results of the SA correction are higher signal, contrast maintenance deep into the sample and greater morphometric fidelity (less image distortion) in 3D.
