Light sensitive sample storage

Micronic have announced a new datasheet that details their range of 'black tubes and capping products' designed to ensure the integrity of light sensitive samples, even over long-term storage periods.

Many substances are affected in some way by light. The importance of maintaining the sample integrity of biomolecules and organic molecules used in regulated environments including the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries is well documented.

Produced from the highest quality, FDA approved carbon-filled polypropylene, in a state-of-the-art class 7 automated manufacturing facility, Micronic black tubes are supplied 'sample safe' free from additives or leachates. All Micronic black tubes are also fully validated RNase and DNase free meaning they can be used with even the most sensitive biological samples. Offered in a wide range of working volumes (0.5ml, 0.75ml, 1.1ml, 1.4ml, 7.5ml) and 2D-coded or non-coded formats – a Micronic black tube is available for almost any light sensitive sample storage application.

The Micronic black tube range is fully compatible with all Micronic storage racks, tube capping systems and tube readers. Manufactured to industry leading strict tolerances the precision and absolute consistency of Micronic black tubes maximises operational uptime when used with automated cherry picking and sample handling systems.

To provide a complete solution for storing light sensitive samples – Micronic also offers a full range of black TPE plug style tube caps and screw caps.

Dedicated to the design and production of innovative sample storage tubes, accessories and instruments over the last 25 years, Micronic is uniquely able to offer laboratories the expert advice to help them safeguard one of its most valuable assets - its samples.
