“Stable output “ Lightsource for Fluorescence Microscopes

To accurately quantitate sequential fluorescence images, it is essential that the output of your light source remains constant between exposures. The PhotoFluor II offers unsurpassed output stability (controlled by direct current) over both the short and long term (up to 1500 hours). It´s really no big deal to fit the new PhotoFluor II lamp to any fluorescence microscope model, no adjustments necessary. As far as the light will be transferred via light guide, there will be no direct heat transfer to the microscope. The PhotoFluor II combines a powerful 200W metal halide lamp with a sputtered IR-blocking optic to deliver exceptional light output from 340nm to 650nm. An additional filterwheel mounted within the lamp housing can be controlled by RS 232 or USB, the time to change from position to position will be within 250 msec. Standard sized excitation filters with 25mm can be easily mounted.
