Tissue Culture Surfaces

BD Biosciences launches BD Purecoat, a surface for cell culture, which provides enhanced attachment, faster cell proliferation rates, and improved differentiation capabilities for a broad range of primary cell, stem cells, and transfected cell lines. A proprietary thin-film coating technology produces a uniform, functionalized surface that provides a highly controlled environment for cell culture applications. Both BD Purecoat amine, a positively charged surface, and BD Purecoat carboxyl, a negatively charged surface, provide improved cell attachment and cell proliferation over standard tissue culture (TC)-treated surfaces. The new surface is available on a variety of tissue culture plates and vessels, including 6-, 24-, 96-, 384-, and 1536-well plates.
