invisible perimeter security / burglary detection system / Invisible detection field (GroundGARD®)

GroundGARD^® is a perimeter burglary detection system with buried cable for invisible perimeter protection detecting unrequested intrusion with an accuracy of 3 m. GroundGARD^® is volumetric sensor well-adopted to the open country. It localises reliably and precisely walking, running or creeping intruders along the perimeter. The adaptation of sensitivity may differ depending on site characteristics. The adaptation to open country’s conditions will take place automatically during calibration.

The GroundGARD^® system consists of processor modules and two 200-meters-sensor-cable pairs which can be buried along the periphery of the subject in soil, asphalt or concrete. Each processor module covers 400 meters. Around every pair of sensor cables a volumetric field will be generated in which intruders can be detected.

For the exact localisation of the intrusion GroundGARD^® makes use of areal and chronological signatures. Thus it is possible to differentiate between real intrusion and harmless break-downs caused by small animals or weather conditions like wind, rain or snow. This results in a high identification probability and a very low rate of false or unwanted alarms (FAR/NAR).

For GroundGARD^® the identification zones are stipulated in the software. Therefore the identification zones can be stipulated cost-effectively according to the special conditions of the respective project.
In addition GroundGARD^® is connected with monitoring software providing a user-friendly installation, system administration and troubleshooting. There is a standard interface providing the possibility to connect GroundGARD^® to a superordinate security management system.
