Quality sustainment of bulk goods: Moisture tolerance at a glance

The new microwave moisture measurement laboratory device MOIST xLAB of hf sensor GmbH Leipzig measures material moisture within seconds. As a technical innovation concerning its measuring velocity, the device additionally identifies both surface and core moisture since the microwave principle being used provides different penetration depths into the material. To yield a better integrated offline-monitoring of your bulk goods production process, MOIST xLAB makes multiple and representative sample taking possible.

Accordingly, laborious moisture measurement solutions such as those using dry-oven or moisture analyzer will be gradually displaced by MOIST xLAB as it works very quick and with high accuracy.
In case of quick moisture measurement for example in ceramic or lime-proof pigments, MOIST xLAB brings outstanding results without heating or modifying the material to be measured.

The portable laboratory device supports manual moisture analyses in powdery, pasty or grained raw products and bulk goods for the purpose of quality sustainment in the production process, especially used in the building, chemical or pharmaceutical industry. Precalibrated material curves ensure exact, reproducible and, above all, immediate measurement results regarding the moisture content wet weight basis.

MOIST xLAB makes a sample volume up to 250ml measurable and provides a material specific moisture range from 0 to 80% (wet base). The standard operating temperature range of the laboratory device may vary between 0 to 70°C.
