The standard for lab charge measurement

The MütekTM PCD-04 Particle Charge Detector measures colloidally dissolved substances in aqueous samples via charge titration. Charge levels significantly determine the efficiency of chemical additives whether these are applied in waste water treatment, surface technology, food and beverage, ceramics, colors, fillers and pigments, cosmetics and textiles.

Within the pulp and paper industry the Mütek PCD is already a standard tool for detecting anionic trash levels as well as for characterizing chemical additives.
The PCD-04 comes in a stand-alone version but is also available with an integrated titration module, the so called PCD-04 Travel – for easy travelling and charge measurements onsite.

Highest accuracy and reproducibility is achieved by combining the PCD-04 with the automatic titrator PCD-T3. This set-up is widely used around the world in R&D labs. Equipped with an optional pH probe, the pH value of samples can be monitored and the isoelectric point be determined. A sophisticated software allows easy data handling and storage according to GLP (good laboratory practice) guidelines.

Benefits:

  • Highly accurate and reproducible measurements
  • Reliable results even at high conductivities
  • Easy to handle and robust
