The Solution for Deeper Imaging

Improved penetration depths in cells, organs, tissues and animals require two-photon and multiphoton excitation. The Leica TCS SP5 MP, equipped with pulsed infrared lasers, is the answer to todays challenges in life science research. All multiphoton applications, morphological and high-speed dynamic studies are covered by the Leica TCS SP5 MP with its fully motorised Tandem Scanner combining a conventional scanner for high resolution imaging and a resonant scanner for high speed imaging. Highest photon collection efficiency is ensured by the extreme short coupling of detectors. Therefore, the Leica TCS SP5 MP allows for using large photo sensor areas, as found in external detectors, which can be coupled behind the objective (RLD: Reflected Light Detector) or behind the condenser (TLD: Transmitted Light Detector). Up to four colours can be acquired simultaneously.Photomanipulation (uncaging, photoactivation or photobleaching), FLIM and FCS experiments can be easily performed with the Leica TCS SP5 MP for acquiring information about processes occurring on a molecular scale.

  • Depth penetration: about 400 nm
  • Less photodamage and lower phototoxicityHigh speed and high resolution imaging with one system
  • High collection efficiency by extreme short coupling of detectors
  • For deep in vivo imaging, 20x NA 1.0 objective available
