VESTA® Tank Bottom Valves – larger nominal widths now available!

With its extended tank bottom valve program, GEA Tuchenhagen now offers the user a full range of applications for larger volume flow rates in extremely sensitive processes where high sterile requirements must be fulfilled. VESTA® Tank Bottom Valves – based on the innovative concept  of single-seat tank bottom valves with PTFE bellows – offer process-technological and economic advantages in extremely sensitive processes, now in sizes from DN 10 to DN 65.

The extended program includes the following sizes:

  • New – DN 32, 40, 50, 65 (DIN pipe standard)
  • New – ISO 42.4, 48.3, 60.3 (ISO pipe standard)
  • New – OD 1½“, 2“, 2½“, 3“ (OD pipe standard)

The extended VESTA® range of valves is available for manual operation, with NC/NO pneumatic actuators made from synthetic material or stainless steel (can be equipped with T.VIS® monitoring systems) and in various other housing variants.

VESTA® Tank Bottom Valves are used to shut off liquid media at vessels or tanks. They are preferably installed at the lowest point of the tank bottom. Their characteristic feature is shut-off  at tank bottom level without any sump. The pocket-free design enables complete draining of the vessel and optimal CIP/SIP cleaning. Thanks to the robust design of the housing and the housing connection flange the valve can be welded into place without any distortion.

Due to the extremely compact design, VESTA® Tank Bottom Valves are also ideal for confined spaces. VESTA® Tank Bottom Valves are available in various designs to suit different applications, for instance with additional valve for CIP/SIP or draining with front-flush shut-off (pocket-free).

VESTA® Tank Bottom Valves can be supplied with a welded-in housing as well as with detachable flange-on housing. Housing variants with one or two outlets for ring mains are available. On request, we also offer customer-specific solutions, e.g. for CIP/SIP applications.

The main features at a glance:

  • Hermetical and safe sealing by PTFE bellows
  • Zero dead space design, allowing total draining
  • Long service life of the PTFE bellows
  • Simple and safe maintenance
