Alert at all times:

The demands made of industrial fire protection systems are complex. The front line in combating fires is formed by fire detectors which detect fires in specific applications and control extinguishing systems. Malfunctions can only be avoided if highly robust and reliable technology is in place which is capable of autonomously filtering out disturbance variables. To this end, Minimax has devised a new product range: UniVario industrial detectors.

To achieve the best possible protection in each individual scenario, fire detectors of different designs and response levels are used to suit the equipment in question. These different detectors work indoors or out, in the direct vicinity of the equipment or from further afield, in clean rooms or in extremely dirty processing conditions.

The intelligent, platform based, microprocessor controlled fire alarms from the UniVario product family with their robust housing and assembly technology meet the most stringent operational conditions. Thanks to a modular design and modern signal processing technology the devices satisfy a broad range of individual specification profiles for optimum space and object protection, including zones 2 and 22 at risk of explosion. Alarm data can be read using a service unit and the UniVarioView software. Due to the operational voltage range of 7.5V to 30V, the UniVario detector can be connected to all customary fire detection centres as well as PLC systems. Potential-free contacts for alarm and fault reporting are available over a relay module. With the communication module the alarms can be used as loop indicators with individual addressing.

They are equipped with the very latest advanced technology, all enclosed in a very appealing casing. This new generation of hightech fire detectors is substantially prefabricated, is easy and quick to install and can be easily integrated into existing solutions, making them an affordable alternative to conventional systems.

One major advantage of the new range is their ability to forward data to databases for the purposes of analysis, maintenance or statistics compilation, if required.
