Plate Heat Sealer

Porvair Sciences has announced the Thermobond 2, a heat sealer designed to quickly and reproducibly seal microplates with a specially prepared pierceable film or foil. The instrument incorporates a highly ergonomic reciprocating handle design to minimise RSI risk while creating a reproducible, high integrity seal every time. The plane parallel action of the reciprocating handle ensures even sealing across the plate preventing sample evaporation or leakage during storage and transportable. A new digital timer and temperature display further enhance the ease of producing reproducibly sealed microplates. The system combines ruggedness and ease of use with a new smart industrial design.
