Carl Zeiss has completed its Mirax product portfolio for the production and storage of digitized histological and cytological slides. The system, which includes all steps from image acquisition, digital storage and data management to online evaluations, simplifies workflows in pathology and offers doctors and researchers new application possibilities. Mirax Midi is a digital slide scanner which offers an innovation in slide loading thanks to its particularly reliable horizontal loading system. Freshly cover-slipped slides and non-standard slides can be handled with ease. The possibility of loading up to 12 slides simultaneously ensures reasonable walk away time during the scanning procedure. Furthermore, the system has a fluorescence option and is therefore also ideal for immunofluorescence and Fish applications.
