AlphaTec™ - Liquid-proof Nitrile glove with wet grip surface, consistent quality film and internal knitted liner

AlphaTec™ is the first of a new generation of chemical resistant gloves. It incorporates revolutionary Ansell Grip Technology™ to enable users to handle wet or oily objects with less grip force and more control. This unique combination of liquid-proof chemical resistance and grip, together with flexibility and dexterity, makes AlphaTec™ the logical choice when working with chemicals.

Recommended usage

Light to medium duty handling of slippery objects coated with wet chemicals.

Reliable chemical protection for added user safety
The patented Ansell Grip Technology™ ensures that the coating polymer does not penetrate the liner during manufacture. The coating is therefore consistent and sound, significantly reducing the likelihood of chemical leakage onto the skin. AlphaTec™ gloves have a chemical resistance performance equivalent to Sol-Vex® 37-645.

Enhanced grip for greater user safety and productivity
When wet objects are gripped, microscopic channels in the nitrile coating enable the liquid to move away from the grip surface, resulting in more direct contact between glove and object. The user applies less grip force. Handling becomes more controlled, confident and safer. This reduces stress and fatigue and improves productivity.

Softer feel and more comfortable fit
In the patented Ansell Grip Technology™ manufacturing process, the polymer coating combines with the new nylon liner (knitted with finer 13-gauge fibres) for a softer feel and more comfortable fit. Moreover, AlphaTec™ adopts a new ergonomic hand shape to increase flexibility and dexterity. All this adds up to higher user acceptance.

Customer trials
A trial was conducted with 50 end-users from across Europe in the automotive, OEM and petrochemical industries. Over two days, comparisons were made between AlphaTec™ with the new nylon liner, AlphaTec™ with the previous acryl liner, and several competitor gloves with cotton liners. Participants rated the gloves’ comfort, flexibility, and interior heat and moisture. On a 1-5 scale the new nylon liner clearly beat its challengers (see PDF).
