Industrial Cameras

Continuing demand for analogue cameras in industrial image processing should not be underestimated. The reasons are obvious: mature technology, economical cameras and above all, the cable length can ideally be considerably longer than a hundred metres. With currently available predominant digital interfaces the maximum is normally 10 metres.

Four models
Sentech, our Japanese supplier, has a total of four camera models which are able to meet these demands. There are two models each for board camera modules and cased cameras. The VGA resolution cased model STC-A33A delivers a 640x480 pixel monochrome image, with an image refresh rate of up to 90fps. Their big sister, the STC-A83A, with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels achieves an image refresh rate of 30fps. Of course, all models can be triggered remotely and synchronised via H and V.

Compact Dimensions
With a size of only 28x28x46.3mm (H x W x L), the cased cameras are the smallest of their kind. All input and output signals run via the lockable 12 pin Hirose connector without exception. The most important parameters are set via dip switches on the back of the camera. Access to a variety of additional parameters is carried out via the RS-232 interface using easy-to-use PC software.
Since all models are equipped with a 1/3” CCD sensor, the cameras can also be used for fast movements, in contrast to CMOS models with rolling shutters.
