CAM2IP- the compact GeViScope Video Server

Integrate your analog cameras simply into your network and shift intelligent video management to where it can relieve the network at most – near to the camera.

The compact GeViScope Video Server CAM2IP makes GEUTEBRÜCK head to the next generation of network-oriented CCTV products!

CAM2IP  is completely based on the GeViScope DVSP4 Hardware and the GeViScope software packages. The advantages are quite obvious. It is irrelevant whether a cheaper camera model for the interior or a perfectly suitable
day/night camera for the exterior is used – CAM2IP provides excellent picture quality to the network due to the optimized video encoder MPEG4CCTV without unnecessarily burdening the bandwidth of the network. Thus bandwidth problems or high investment costs for network technology can be avoided.

CAM2IP sends picture data, permanently or only if required, e.g. in case of alarm (TCP/IP alarm trigger of host system), via network, depending on the previously parameterized functions for this camera channel. Control is carried out via the down-streamed video management system with its graphical user interfaces and storage systems in the network.

Live pictures are only sent in the size required for the viewer window (DLS), and compression and resolution can be switched by event control (ICD), depending on the activity situation. One input and one output contact is available for individual use and can be parameterised accordingly.

The serial interface of CAM2IP can be used for the control of domes and PTZ systems or as a transparent data channel for remote parameterization of cameras or other devices. PowerOverEthernet (PoE) allows power supply via the network cable if the respective PoE switch is selected and thus the installation of cameras is simplified.
