CTI Shield/SealsTM

The CTI Shield/SealTM is a thin-walled metallic tube insert made of highly durable alloys, from copper-based alloys to stainless steels to nickel-based alloys. They also include alloys for high-temperature service. The CTI Shield/SealTM, besides repairing tube end erosion/corrosion, will restore weakened tube-to-tube sheet joints, permit proper mechanical tube cleaning and in many cases restore leaking plugged tubes to full operation. “Shields” meet the strict regulations of the nuclear power industry and the United States Navy. Once expanded - either mechanically, hydraulically or a hybrid of the two - the Shields then become integral with the parent tube.

Stop throwing money down the tubes!

Because material and installation require only a fraction of time and costs in comparison to common retubing or bundle replacement, this restoration technique will save precious repair money. The thin-wall construction, expansion and I.D. chamfer eliminate the possibillity of end-step erosion which has been historically associated with other tube inserts.

Why replace the entire tube when only the first few inches need repair?

CTI Full Length Tube InlinersTM

Cost effective solution

The patented CTI Full Length Tube LinerTM was developed for those units that suffer from full-length erosion/corrosion, pitting, general wall thinning and/or on overage of plugged tubes. The “Liners” (thin-walled tubes) are installed. Then they are hydraulically expanded at their full-length to intimate contact with the existing tubes. Finally, the liners are trimmed and roller expanded at the tube sheet areas, resulting in fully restored tubes. The CTI Full Length Tube LinerTM is a tube repair technique which is recognized as the most widely used cost-effective solution to keep your exchanger running at maximum capacity. Hydratight Injectaseal can help you in this case.
