The innovative features incorporated in this new series of electromechanical, thermostats from JUMO GmbH & Co. KG, Fulda, Germany, offer the user a high degree of application flexibility, as well as a state-of-the-art connection system.
The thermostat housing lends itself to all the usual mounting positions – fixed to walls, thermowells or surfaces. Since there is no longer any distinction made between the different mounting types, the number of variants is reduced, enabling
universal application.
With the world's first-ever surface-mounting thermostat featuring the push-in® connection system, you simply push the wires into the terminal up to the stop – and that's it! No tools are needed to connect solid or stranded wires with core end
ferrules, and wiring up also becomes safer. This cuts costs and saves time, compared with conventional screw terminals.
Using the push-in system, loads up to 16A at 230V AC are directly switchable. So installation costs can be further reduced by dispensing with a load contactor.
Maintenance costs are lower too, thanks to the small spacing of <10°C from the switch-off point to the re-start point of the protection temperature limiter.
The instruments are available as temperature controllers (TR), operating temperature monitors (TW), protection temperature monitors (STW) and protection temperature limiters (STB), in the form of single or twin thermostats.
Approvals to EN 14 597, PED and UL give evidence of the high
quality standard of this product series.
