Panel comprising PLC
After the successful launch, the VIPA Gesellschaft für Visualisierung und Prozessautomatisierung GmbH, Herzogenaurach, is now equipping its Touch Panel family with an integrated PLC. This PLC is supporting the STEP7 instruction set from Siemens as usual. With the integrated STEP7 PLC also logical connections with the visualization can be implemented.
The operator panels will be offered in the sizes already known from 5,4” to 10,4”. Of course, the panel disposes of any HMI functionalities. Furthermore it can be expanded by the standard in- and output modules of systems 100V and 200V which are mounted on the backside.
The PLC is based on SPEED7 technology and is in terms of performance equivalent to the CPU 414 from Siemens.
With the integrated in- and outputs it constitutes a fully operative small controller. The modules are available in different specifications like 8/16 digital I/Os, relay outputs, analog I/Os and fast counters, for example. With the available components the use of an external PLC is redundant.
The operator panels are available with the operating system Windows CE5.0 including MoviconX Real Flexible or zenOn 6.20. The software installation can be realized by SD-card or network.
As usual the VIPA Touch Panel family is suitable for all application areas in factory, process and building automation.
With the aluminium diecast box and industrial protection IP65 on the front side, the panels are also suitable for application in harsh industrial environment.
The backlit display can be dimmed and switched-off.
