WTR and WLR: motor roller sensors with ex-panded logic functions

Motor rollers in conveyor sections can be autonomously controlled with the new WTR photoelectric proximity switch and the new WLR photoelectric reflex switch. The occupancy-dependent activation of motor rollers increases their service life while reducing operating costs. In addition, no complicated external programming of the logic for the accumulating roller function is necessary.

The sensor and logic functions of both the WTR and the WLR (designed for extremely reflective surfaces) are accommodated in a single housing. The Sleep/Awake Modes, which supplement the familiar sensor functions of Single Feed and Single Discharge, permit the needs-oriented control of motor rollers with a 24 V DC operating voltage, such as the RollerDrive EC300 from Interroll®. The motor rollers are in Sleep Mode when the conveyor section is empty. They switch to Awake Mode when goods enter the conveyor section. The WTR/WLR motor roller sensor successively activates the subse-quent conveyor sections in the direction of transport – one after another. Sleep Mode restarts when an individual accumulation area empties again, saving energy and cutting costs.
