resom presents the new leak detection with hydrogen method

HLD 400 is an extremely sensitive and selective detector for hydrogen gas (H2). It is especially designed for leak detection with Hydrogen Trace Gas which is the most effective and economical tracer gas for leak testing. The hydrogen method is approved for the leak detection of plate heat exchangers, flash pasteuriser, welding pipe’s and filler particularly suitable in the food industry.

For them we need a tracer gas mix of nitrogen (95%) and hydrogen (5%). The physical properties of the hydrogen method is in comparison to the general measurement method, dye penetrate testing, air pressure decay, conductiometry (tracer-substance) and helium method much faster and exact. It’s the lightest molecule with the lowest viscosity of all chemical elements and a low background (0,5 ppm).
