IQ8Wireless fire alarm system
Intelligent fire protection is now even more flexible:
Since April 2007, a new wireless gateway has been extending the product range of future-oriented components for the IQ8Wireless fire alarm system. Thus it will henceforth not only enable the possibility of mounting fire detectors without connecting cables, but will also make easier the later integration of additional detectors into already existing fire protection systems. Here the IQ8Wireless gateway takes on the function of a transponder element between the installed base and new detectors: For that, an already existing detector is simply removed from the base (no tools necessary) and replaced by the new VdS certified gateway. Acting as an interface for the connection of wireless smoke detectors, the new system component integrates up to ten intelligent automatic detectors into the esserbus®-PLus. These are then fully addressable bus devices.
The start-up of the new gateway is comfortably carried out together with the rest of the wireless devices via the tools 8000 software. Apart from providing a fire protection solution for detached parts of buildings or areas in which cabling is not possible for other reasons, the IQ8Wireless offers the possibility of installing temporary monitoring without great effort. Thus, for example, areas under construction or also provisional storehouses can be quickly and cost-effectively equipped with fire detection technology by use of the wireless gateway integrated into already existing loops.
The IQ8Wireless fire alarm system offers the highest amount of safety with the highest possible flexibility, even under difficult environmental conditions: The location and the positioning of the detectors can be freely chosen (within the frame of the currently valid regulations). The respectively suited detector can be placed onto the wireless base depending on the usage area. The wireless devices communicate via a dual-band transmission mode. A frequency-hopping technique guarantees a maximum of transmission security. The frequency-band and/or the channel are automatically changed should any influence from sources of interference occur.
