Screening of Serine/Threonine Kinases

Cisbio, in partnership with Upstate, has developed their new HTRF Kinease kit for screening a large number of Serine/Threonine kinases. The assay uses a choice among three proprietary biotinylated peptides, a proprietary monoclonal antibody labelled with Eu3+-Cryptate, and Streptavidin-XL665. Each peptide contains a common epitope that includes the phosphorylation site. The addition of the antibody and the SaXL65 mixture generates a FRET signal that is proportional to the phosphorylation. Over 70 kinases have already been validated using the optimal substrate. The HTRF Kinease Kit is available in small, bulk and Jumbo sizes for HTS and Profiling applications.
