With the “DT-OpenLayers for .NET” class library Data Translation now provides a simple-to-use programming interface to its USB and PCI data acquisition hardware. It gives developers an easy way to create their own test and measurement applications in Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and 2005.
Besides offering full support of the programming languages Visual Basic .NET and Visual C# .NET, the library—written in C# .NET—is compatible with other .NET languages. All device parameters of the USB modules and PCI boards are conveniently configured with the provided functions.
The “DT-Display for .NET” control additionally gives developers a general-purpose, high-performance .NET visualization tool for quickly plotting the acquired data.
The .NET library is now included on the OmniCD, which ships with all USB modules and PCI boards from Data Translation. The CD also comprises other useful software components, such as 32 bit WDM drivers for Windows and a development kit for C-programmers complete with executable sample programs and source code. The software collection additionally features ActiveX components, drivers for LabVIEW and an interface for direct connection to the MATLAB analysis software.
