Compact and cost efficient: OPTIPACT sensors for optical measurement of lengths and velocities
Dortmund. INTACTON GmbH presents OPTIPACT, an innovative sensor for industrial applications capable to perform a measurement of 2 orthogonal axes that for the first time enables detection of any possible direction of motion.
The sensor is designed for velocities from –8 m/s to + 8 m/s. This assures detection of any potential direction of motion and at the same time makes sensor alignment very uncomplicated. With dimensions of only 98 x 42 x 47 mm and a weight of 250 g OPTIPACT can be integrated easily in almost any system.
OPTIPACT is particularly well suited for structured surfaces such as fabrics, fleece materials or wood. For the first time this cost efficient sensor permits optical length and velocity measurements even in applications where until now conventional tactile methods were employed.
