The New Eppendorf Microcentrifuges

Silence speed simplicity

Eppendorf has launched two new Microcentrifuges. The Centrifuge 5418 and the Centrifuge 5424. Designed to reduce operational noises, maximize potential operational speeds and offer intuitive operational panels, these Centrifuges set new standards! The compact Centrifuge 5418 has a capacity for 18 x 1.5/2.0 ml tubes and it can achieve a maximum rcf of 16,873 x g/14,000 rpm. The Centrifuge 5418 is perfectly designed for customers who demand a high quality centrifuge for processing a reduced amount of samples. The advanced Centrifuge 5424 for extended applicational use, accommodates24 x 1.5/2.0 ml tubes and achieves a maximum rcf of 20,238 x g/14,680 rpm. The Centrifuge 5424 can be equipped with up to four different rotors: an aerosol tight standard 24 place rotor, a PCR strip rotor, a specially designed KIT rotor for processing spin columns in open micro tubes and a special coated rotor for ultimate chemical resistance. All new Microcentrifuges are supplied with a standard aerosol-tight rotor. For even better identification the aerosol-tight rotor lid is equipped with a red turning knob.Operation of both centrifuges with or without a rotor lid has been made possible without having to sacrifice operational silence.
