Modular micro annular gear pump with precision ceramic elements

When it comes to a selection of a pump, the question of material resistance is always in focus. This is due to the fact that the suitability for delivered liquids of every given construction material is different. As far as chemical and wear resistance are concerned, ceramics is a group of materials offering optimal features for pump construction and, what follows, a long service life.

The micro annular gear pump mzr‑2942 of HNP Mikrosysteme basing on a modular concept offers a new approach as to the material resistance. A system of components to be selected depending on the nature of the dispensed or metered liquid prepares the pump for every application. The pump bearings and rotors are made out of oxide ceramics. HASTELLOY®, titanium and PEEKTM form the variants of the pump body.

Modular and chemically inert, the micro annular gear pump mzr‑2942 allows to obtain flow rates ranging from 3 ml/min to 18 ml/min and smallest dosage volumes starting already at 0.5 µl. Due to its high-precision components and a small clearance volume, this positive displacement pump assures low-pulsation delivery, high repeatability (1% CV) and differential pressures of up to 5 bar.

Showing small dimensions and equipped with a precise DC‑motor the modular mzr‑2942 pump is applicable for fast and precise dosing tasks in such fields as microreaction technology, biotechnology and analytical instrumentation.
