STED Confo­cal Microscopy System

Picoquant will release a super-resolution upgrade to its confo­cal microscopy system Micro­time 200.

The STED (stimulated emission depletion) upgrade will be presented at the Company’s 20th International Workshop on “Single Molecule Spectroscopy and Ultra Sensitive Analysis in the Life Sciences” on September 2-5 in Berlin. The versatile FLIM and FCS platform enables users to perform a wide range of measurements down to the single molecule level.

In addition to the very good timing resolution, the upgrade will offer spatial resolution several times lower than the diffraction limit. STED can also be used in spectroscopy.
